IMPROVMENT IN HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE IN HIMACHAL PRADESH:

• In order to provide door-to-door health services in remote areas, has been decided to launch Mukhyamantri Mobile Clinic Yojana and model primary health centres will be developed in each health block and has also been decided to purchase 50 new ambulances for the convenience of the patients.

 

• The OPD block of IGMC(Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital), Shimla has been constructed at a cost of Rs.103.18 crore for which Rs73 crore was made available during the tenure of the present state government. A Trauma centre is being constructed in this hospital, which would go a long way in providing better treatment facilities to the patients in emergency situations.

 

• After facing the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, the state government has strengthened the health infrastructure to successfully meet any future pandemic situation. Today 48 oxygen plants, more than 1000 ventilators area available in the state. More than 5000 oxygen concentrators are available and a capacity of more than 10 thousand oxygen beds has been created. During its tenure, the state government has opened 33 new sub-health centres, 46 primary health centres with a view to expand health services. At the same time, 31 Primary Health Centres have been upgraded as Community Health Centres and 18 Community Health Centres have been upgraded as Civil Hospitals.

 

• In the last four years, 10 Ayurveda health centres have been opened and three Ayurveda hospitals have been upgraded in the state. The Centre of Excellence for Geriatric Health, constructed at a cost of Rs 8.37 crore has been started at Paprola in Kangra district and with the cooperation of the government of India.

Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana (MSY):

1. 1. • Government land for rent: If a self-employed person wants the land, then he can take help from the government . If he gets the approval of the HP government and if he wants to take government land as a rent, the state government will charge only 1% of the actual rate of that land.
      • Lower Stamp Duty Rate: In order to encourage young people to participate in self-employment programs more frequently, the government will also reduce the number of stamps they issue. In accordance with this project, stamp duty on purchases of land will be reduced to 3% from 6%.
      • Eligibility requirements: Anyone from Himachal Pradesh who is between the ages of 18 and 35 may apply for this employment program.

Norm for subsidies [Subsidy Requirements]

1. 1. • For a male investor, a subsidy: The government will provide a special subsidy on the cost of the machinery if a male entrepreneur wants to launch his business and wants to invest up to 40 lakhs in it. The subsidy is available up to 25%.
      • support for female investors: The government will offer a subsidy of up to 30% on the cost of the machinery that a woman candidate needs to start her business, but her investment must be at least $4 million.
      • Credit interest subsidy: Candidates who are interested in starting a business can also get a loan. A candidate will receive a subsidy of up to 5% on the interest of the loan if he takes out a loan up to a 40-lakh margin. The duration is five years.
