Bor City, the capital of Jonglei State in South Sudan, is situated on the eastern bank of the Al-Jabal River, approximately 140 kilometers north of Juba.

However, this hospital and other health facilities are often under-equipped, with a shortage of essential medicines, laboratory services, and trained personnel. Many patients travel to Juba or rely on humanitarian organizations for specialized medical care.
