INCENTIVES INCUBACATORS UNDER GUJARAT START-UP POLICY
Reward Programs for Incubators As long as the criteria outlined in the definition of an “Eligible Incubator” are met, an incubator may choose to receive incentives under the Start-up Policy of the Industries or under the policy of the State Government. The State Government will give the following incentives to the qualified incubators on to which they may be entitled under Government of India programs:
a)Capital Assistance: Subject to a cap of Rs. 50 lakhs, eligible incubators will receive one-time capital assistance at the rate of 50% of their gross fixed capital investment (GFCI), excluding the cost of land, for setting up an incubator.
b)Mentoring Support: Eligible Incubators are eligible for mentoring support worth Rs. 5 lakhs annually. Operating Assistance: Eligible Incubators are entitled to a matching grant equal to 25% of the funds they raise from non-governmental sources, up to a maximum of Rs. 1 crore per year, in order to cover their operational costs.
c)Support for Software Procurement: The government will contribute 50% of the cost of the software, up to a maximum of Rs. 1 crore, to the incubator attached to or associated with educational institutions or universities for the development and testing of key software.
d)Reimbursement of Stamp Duty and Registration Fees: For the first transaction, Eligible Incubators will be entitled to a 100% reimbursement of the Stamp Duty and Registration Fee they paid on the sale, lease, or transfer of land and office space.
