- Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana

The premium for Rs.30000 insurance policy is Rs. 200 for a year. The eligibility criteria for this policy is that one should be a family head or an earning member of one’s family (around the poverty line) and should be performing one of the 48 mentioned vocations.
- Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana
Rajasthan Government supports insurance initiatives towards its citizens under the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana. This is a cashless claims scheme for rural people of Rajasthan. There is no prescribed age limit for availing the benefits of this scheme. This scheme covers hospitalization expenses for general illness as well as critical illnesses as per the terms and conditions. It covers both in-patient as well as out-patient expenses.
- Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS)

- Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana
This scheme initiated by the Indian Government’s Ministry of Labour and Employment. Individuals workers in the unorganized sector and below the poverty line are covered under this scheme.
- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana
This incentive is that private players setting up hospitals in non-metropolitan cities could get easing up land allotment on lease or through bidding, facilitating clearances within specified timelines, and providing viability gap funding of up to 40% of the total project cost.
- Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana

GOVERNMENT STEPS FOR HEALTHCARE INFRASTRUCTURE
- Health ministry has proposed a model to increase the role of private hospitals in treating non-communicable diseases by allowing them to bid for 30-year leases over parts of district hospital buildings and land to set up hospitals with 50-100 beds.
- India has about 6.34 lakh hospital beds currently. The health ministry estimates that this needs to be doubled over the next 10 years to be able to cater to the intended PMJAY beneficiaries – the poorest 40% of India’s population of approximately 10 crore people.
- The government classified the healthcare sector as part of the infrastructure in a move that could give the under-funded sector a boost. The move opens the doors for viability gap funding (VGF) of up to 20% for public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
- For infrastructure creation, the government will give a grant of 20% of the project cost to non-state entities opening medical colleges outside metropolitan cities.
- All publicly funded healthcare facilities would be allowed to receive donations from companies under the CSR head. “Adequate safeguards have to be built in to ensure ‘no-frills funding’ and that donations are not used to influence policies and practices of healthcare facilities in any way.
